As this day is upon us that brings attention to the relationships, especially romantic, in your life I want you to ponder these statements.
1. You can touch another but not be felt.
2. You can feel another without touching them.
3. You can be touched but not fully feel.
4. You can be felt without being touched.
Give that a moment to sink in...maybe even reread it. My invitation to you is to take one day, perhaps today, to explore this with curiosity and non-judgement. When a loved one touches you, does it allow you to come into greater relaxation and ease in your body or cause contraction and tension? Do you openly accept the love or enjoy it only to a certain point and then start to tense? Do you really take in that compliment or brush it off with a quick "thank you"?
Can you feel the energy of your loved one? Can you feel your loved one loving you in a look or even just by being near one another?
Daring to explore these questions will help increase your ability to receive as well as your body awareness. When you expand your capacity to receive from another you lower the risk of "running on empty" and burning out. You can move through life with MUCH greater ease and joy (and of course less pain!!) when your cup is full...or better yet overflowing ;)
More later this month on the connection of body awareness and your level of pain. For now...go out today and love, be loved and just notice how you respond to connecting with another.
I'd love to support you in taking that first step in allowing yourself to TRULY receive so you can live a life of less pain and more energy and joy. Contact me today to schedule your complimentary 30 minute Pain Relief Discovery Session as my gift to you.
